There’s “Enormous Evidence” That COVID-19 Came From Chinese Lab – US Secretary Of State Says (Video)
Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State has said there’s “enormous evidence” to support the theory that the Covid-19 originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology, not a nearby wildlife market.
Pompeo who appeared on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday, 3rd May, 2020, refused to comment on whether the virus was released internationally from the Lab.
“I think the whole world can see now, remember, China has a history of infecting the world and running substandard laboratories,” Pompeo accused.
He further denounced China’s “classic Communist disinformation effort” to distort information on the spread of the virus in its early days.
As for escalating tensions between Washington and Beijing, after US President Donald Trump said China would be held “accountable,” Pompeo reiterated his message, vowing to “hold those responsible accountable.”
However, the Secretary of State agreed with a US intelligence community statement released Thursday that stipulated “the COVID-19 virus was not man-made or genetically modified.”
